Basalt

Basalt is a contemporary stone with a distinct dark shade. It is ideal in contemporary spaces for the accentuating of style, grace and eloquence. Rich in magnesium, iron, pyroxene as well as feldspar. Very similar stone to it’s counterpart Granite, very dense, highly durable and consistent colouration. Very popular stone for large commercial projects and residential complexes. 

Suitability: Suitable for interior and exterior in residential situations such as floor and wall tiles, but more often outdoors in steps, entrance ways, foyers, terraces and patios, paving, swimming pool surrounds and feature walls.

Sealing of natural stone is recommended.
